# Overview

Welcome to **Ectoplasm**, the first **Treasury-Backed Protocol** born on **BinanceChain and using $wBNB as a backing asset.**

Ectoplasm ($ECTOPLSM) harnesses spectral mechanics to bring a new layer of sustainability and yield to DeFi. Built on top of Binance cutting-edge infrastructure, it introduces a suite of core features designed to provide both growth and security for its community:

* **EctoStaking** – stake your tokens and let your yield manifest.
* **Bonds** – acquire discounted tokens through bonding.
* **EctoVault** – a fortified treasury backing the system.
* **Referral** – encouraging participation and community alignment.

Our mission is to **empower DeFi users with a treasury-anchored foundation**, where stability and profit aren’t mutually exclusive. Ectoplasm merges the **mystical with the mathematical**, transforming traditional staking and bonding into a flywheel that continuously strengthens the protocol.

As you venture through this documentation, you’ll discover the mechanisms, lore, and vision behind Ectoplasm and why $ECTOPLSM is more than just another token. It’s a **revolution in treasury-backed finance on Binance**, where the future of decentralized yield takes on a spectral form.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ectoplasmbsc.com/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
